Internet Renewal

The Florida Department of Motor Vehicles has a web site that will allow you to conduct many types of transactions from your own computer.

You can:

renew your motor vehicle, mobile home or vessel registration

renew your driver's license

change the address on your driver's license

When you are ready to proceed with one of these transactions, click the "Renew Now" button below. You will leave the Tax Collector's web site and automatically link to the Florida Department of Motor Vehicles site. Please follow the instructions for completing your transaction.

For transactions completed on the internet, you will need to use American Express, Discover, MasterCard or Visa.

Renew Your Motor Vehicle Registration, Mobile Home or Vessel

In order to renew your motor vehicle registration online, you will need:

	the renewal notice you received in the mail OR your driver's license # OR your full social security number (FEID for businesses) AND your date of birth and last 4 digits of your social security number.
	Your American Express, Discover, MasterCard or Visa.

If your registration is expired, you may be subject to a citation from law enforcement. If you do not renew your registration within 10 days after the renewal month, a penalty will be charged.

In order to renew your mobile home or vessel registration online, you will need:

	the renewal notice you received in the mail OR your driver's license # OR your full social security number (FEID for businesses) AND your date of birth and last 4 digits of your social security number.
	Your American Express, Discover, MasterCard or Visa.

Registrations renewed online will be mailed from the tax collector the next business day.

Driver's License

You may renew your driver's license or change the address on your driver's license over the internet IF all of the following are true:

	You know your driver's license number, last 4 digits of your social security number and your date of birth.
	Your name, date of birth and sex are correct on your current driver's license.
	Your driver's license has not been expired for more than one year.
	You have a American Express, Discover, MasterCard or Visa.
